Just a quick post to say thanks to the 11 guys that were out in Whistler this year.  What a show!  What a time! I wouldn’t have changed a single thing about the week in Whistler, and I’m pretty sure most everyone would say the same thing.  I can’t wait to do this again!  Downhill biking has forever been ruined for me by Whistler.  What beautiful trails!  Properly groomed and manicured (except for that stupid Karate Monkey trail! arrrggh!!).  I still rode it so I had to buy myself the shirt to prove it.  Next year I’m going after the Dirt Merchant shirt.  Maybe even Schleyer!?

You will excuse the photo quality as I obviously wasn’t about to take the big boy out on the hill with me but you get the idea either way.

Jen first contacted me via email sometime around Christmas.  We emailed.  Occasionally.  Then we’d stop talking. Then we’d start up again.  Then we’d stop. then start. Then stop. then start.  I feel like I got to know her even before we met!  We never got a chance to meet until the engagement session and I’m sure her fears went something like “I hope we didn’t just ask some random guy with a camera to be our photographer”.  And my thoughts were “I hope they’re nice”.  If nothing else, at least my fears can be put to rest.  These two are super nice!  We got along awesomely in the short time we spent together.  Even Jason was all into the photos and he’s “not a photo kind of guy”.  For a “not a photo guy” you sure did awesome.  And Jen?  Well she’s just a natural, you just know she’s gonna be stunning on her wedding day.

I’m looking forward to your wedding in a couple of weeks!  It’s gonna be full of all sorts of awesome!

Welcome Max!  Kari’s friends and co-workers had originally setup a surprise for a maternity session, however, due to some clearly obvious reasons we never got to meet before that and ta-da!  Here we are with the ultra adorable baby Max in his first professional photo shoot!

Lance and Casey have the best thing in life.  They have each other.  After spending 10 minutes with them I said to myself “this is what a father/daughter relationship should be”.  And I wanted to have that one day.  They have something special.

After spending the better part of the day being worried about how I was gonna work this shoot, I soon realized I had nothing to worry about.  Lance and Casey were so much fun to work with.  The entire session was built on laughter.  And thats it.  Pure, uninhibited laughter.  Through the eyes of a proud father.  Through the eyes of an adoring daughter.  Just the way it was meant to be.

Lance and Casey, I hope you all enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Mandy and Sean had a small, intimate wedding.  No oversized church – they chose the sun.  No enormous guest list – just their closest family and friends. No pretense.  Just love.  Just right.
