A few weeks ago when I shot Nguyet and John’s amazing wedding I decided I would try out something new… well, at least new to me. It’s called Stop Motion Video. In a nutshell, it is essentially taking a brazillion photos in a series, and using video software to create a video out of the photos. Each photo you see in the video is only displayed for 0.2 seconds each. Consider the song in the video is 5 min long with a bit of mathemagic you come out with approximately 1600 photos that were used to make a 5 minute video.  That’s pretty insane in my opinion.  I had a lot of fun doing this though and there’s a good chance I’ll break this out again.  It’s a lot of work but the end result is pretty sweet!

I don’t take full credit for this as it would not have been possible if I didn’t have a killer 2nd shooter riding shotgun with me all day. Thanks once again to Brittany Esther for being the awesomeness that she is.

Sue and Ryan are both such amazing souls.  This was a wedding that I just couldn’t wait to see.  After meeting them for the first time (well, apparently Sue and I have met before but that was back in High School so that doesn’t count.  Nothing counts in High School) I knew instantly that they would have a super rad and unique wedding.  One of those ones that you’ll just remember because its just so rad in all the right places.

I’m finally getting around to blogging this wedding…the reason is, there were so many fabulous details that its taken me quite a while to actually go through all the photos, select the best of bunch and work my way through all the editing.  So here I am, about to drop a massive list of images on you all.  It’s what happens when you shoot a 16 hour wedding and you love every detail and every minute of it!  And thanks to Brittany of Brittany Esther Photography for being my right-hand girl that day

Congratulations Nyuget (or more affectionately known as Nugget to all her friends) and John.  I wish the you best in love, life, happiness and everything else that your new life together brings your way.

The groom must barter with the bridesmaids for the bride’s hand in marriage.  The tasks that the groom and his boys need to perform can get out of hand pretty quickly…

Make sure there’s enough money in there…

The tea ceremony.  Where you the bride and groom honor their elders by serving them cups of tea. And in return they receive gifts of cash and jewelry.  Seems like a good deal.

Games that were played at the reception included catch the bagel with groom’s body part A and brides body part B…As well as work-a-cell-phone-through-the-the-grooms-pants-and-try-to-answer-it-when-the-best-man-calls…

I’ll be doing another post about this fabulous couple as Brittany and I were working on some new magic that night.  I can’t wait to reveal it!

Hey Darcy and Shaunta! I know you follow my blog faithfully so I want to remind you that….Your wedding is in a few weeks! LOL

Some people questioned me when I decided to write my bio to include the fact that I used to be a club DJ.   Others thought it was the coolest thing ever and gave me a chance by setting a time to meet with me.  Shaunta and Darcy are one of the ‘others’.  See?  I know what I’m doing some of the time.

I’m so ridiculously excited for your wedding at Artevo I can’t put it into words.  I hope there’s a mariachi band playing!

Michelle and Eric had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by amazing friends and family – they even did a video conference live with family in Malaysia!  That just shows how close they keep the people love to them.  Being halfway around the world, they will still find a way to involve those that they love.  That is a prelude to their relationship, no distance could keep them apart.  Their love is that strong.  Their core group of friends are amazing people, especially their “children” :)
