Paula and Jeff, you didn’t have to wait until he’s 12! Here’s the first photo in a series of a heckuva lot more. Thank you for introducing us to the latest and greatest addition… man, is that kid every lucky to have you two as parents! Here he is at 1 week old… He’s gonna be a heartbreaker when he grows up!
I came across this moment while I was designing Vanessa and Darrin’s wedding album. I think this has got to be one of my absolute favourite photos. ever. I believe this single frame tells and entire story all on its own. All the other photos are gravy. I love this.

Vanessa has been a close family friend for well over 20 years now. I’ve actually had the privilege of growing up along side her and at the same time watching her grow up. When she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was honored in so many ways. I had never met Darrin before the night of our first consult, but I knew instantly that this guy was for real. He had his head on straight, presented himself with a calm and reasonable demeanor and carried a shy smile.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be there for your big day. It means a lot to me and I am humbled by the kind words and emails I’ve received from you since your wedding.
The wedding was held in Calgary at the beautiful Fairmont Palliser. Both the ceremony and the reception were held in the Crystal Ballroom. What an amazing venue for a wedding! The Palliser is a magnificent venue with loads of victorian charm and detail.
Thank-you as well to the Inspired Occasions wedding planners who did a bang-up job planning the entire wedding in just 6 short weeks – over the Christmas holidays and New Years no less!
