Dhara & Jason: the wedding

Dhara and Jason.  Thank you so much for allowing me to be there to capture your big day.  You kept telling me how much the wedding photos were the biggest piece of the puzzle for you so I’m hoping this does your day justice.  And I can’t stop thinking about the police incident.  That was wacky!  I’m glad we can all laugh about that now haha! ok so the “police incident” isn’t as bad as it sounds, but I sound like a badass photographer when I say that I had an incident on my photoshoot. I hope you guys enjoy this small set of photos.  You two were a dream to work with, allowing me to do what I do and giving me access to all parts of the day.  Congratulations again and I wish you two the best in your life together.

My favourite photo of the day…so much emotion.  This single frame tells so much about Dhara.calgary-hindu-wedding-photography-1478

Terra Law T, I love how you captured Jacquie and Ian’s fun-loving personalities. They are so full of love for life and each other and it shines through in these images. It’s been a blast working with them to plan their intimate and oh-so-fabulous Banff wedding over the past several months. I can’t wait to see the magic you capture on their special day this June.February 26, 2010 – 8:33 am

Jacquie & Ian Oh Terence!!!
You are just amazing!!! Ian and I have been itching to see what you’ve done and again we are astonished to see how you capture the moments we feel. You made the day so incredibly easy for us and the results are absolutely breathtaking. We want to thank you for being part of this exciting time in our lives.

Ian is away, so we waited until we both had internet connections to view them together!

Thanks so much!February 25, 2010 – 8:23 am

Now accepting applications for a 2nd shooter / assistant

Helloooo faithful blog readers, or reader if there if I’ve mistakenly assumed there is more than the singular.

I’m looking to hire another assistant!  Things have been picking up and yes, I can finally admit the truth… I need more help! The ideal candidate should have similar qualities to me, and that includes:

– MUST be a people person and MUST enjoy interacting with people.
– a DSLR camera (I don’t care if you shoot with a Nikon or Canon, but if you care I’m a Canon)
– you own a lens or 6
– outgoing and not afraid to take charge
– a sense of humor
– a twisted sense of humor
– good fashion sense
– a sense of personal hygiene
– is willing and able to carry camera bags and lighting equipment
– has their own vehicle because taking the bus ain’t gonna cut it
– has camera skills and is willing to learn
– willing to step outside their comfort zone and the want to try something new and create something amazing

Tammy McGregor Awesome shot Terence! And what a brave bride … walking around in the snow with those shoes but she doesn’t look cold at all! — Love the vibrant colors too!February 4, 2010 – 12:26 pm

Laura Hit I love it. I love the shadow on the red background. I love how she is holding his legs and if this is the bride – I love her dress (well regardless of who this is – I love the dress. But if its the bride, I love that she went with something she loves, not the traditional gown!).February 2, 2010 – 10:00 am
