Finally! Christine and Stuart your day has come.  Actually, if I may so humbly suggest that this is the 2nd day…your first being the wedding day.  I’ll put aside my massive ego for a moment and agree to refer to this blog post as the 2nd most awesomest day of your wedding.

Right from the moment we met, I knew something magical was going to happen.  Stuart let Christine run the show and wasn’t going to say no to her vision of her wedding day.  He was the right type of groom.  He was quiet, knowing, agreeable and most importantly in love with his best friend.  He wanted to make sure that she got what she wanted and had no problems giving it to her.  He started out quiet, but by the time we had finished the wedding photos, he treated me like a friend.  She started out excited, and by the end of it all, although seemingly impossible, she was even more excited than when we first met.  It was like her energy level grew as the day progressed.  As dorky and cliche as it may sound, I think it was the power of the day that kept lifting her up.  She was the quintessential bride.  Full of life, love, energy and not a care in the world except for her new husband and their beautiful kids.

This was another beautiful wedding planned by Inspired Occasions, with the beautiful floral arrangements by Monica at Modern Petals.  The wedding ceremony was held at Baker Park and the reception was in one of the most unique locations ever… the Aerospace Museum!

I know I said it a million times during your wedding day and I’ll say it one last time, congratulation Christine and Stuart and thank you for helping me create these beautiful images for you to keep.

Tory & Mike have been together for a number of years now, in fact I think I’ve known them both from the first time they started dateing though I’m not 100% sure of that.  Either way, thank-freaking-goodness that she came along.  Someone needed to keep the cage on that animal! I kid I kid.  Sorta.

Many of us knew this day was coming and when it finally did we all breathed a collective sigh of happiness and excitement.  The big day was finally going to happen.  Tory & Mike chose to do an intimate ceremony with only their attendants standing by their side including another couple I had the pleasuring of photographing, Sabrina & Beau.  With their wedding officiant, Tamara Jones, presiding, the Banff mountain backdrop provided us with the most beautiful scenery for the most beautiful wedding.

I’m always grateful when a couple allows me to be the documentarian (no idea of this is a word) of their big day but there’s always that extra something when friends ask you to do the same, and not because you’re just friends but because they also appreciate the work that is done and they are able to put that much more trust into who you are and what you do.  Tory & Mike, thank-you for trusting me with this momentous occasion.

10 years ago, Damien and Yin were married and started a journey together that they would never forget.  In those 10 years, they’ve moved from the state of DC in the USA to our beautiful city of Calgary, Alberta.  They’ve slowly settled into their new surroundings making new friends and new memories in that journey and have become accustomed to our Western lifestyle.  I’m not really sure whats different but it kinda sounded like the neat thing to say because its now 11:30pm and I’m wanting to blog this amazing family. Therefore, I neglect sleep.  Therefore, my grammar is poor.  Therefore, lets get to the images we captured on the beautiful Wednesday evening at one of the best places to take photos of a family bonding together.
