Donna and Truong have been unlike any other couple I’ve ever photographed. And that’s not a slight against my other couples at all, in fact, I quite often befriend many of my clients as a result of the amazing relationships we build along the way towards their wedding day. But Donna and Truong really went out of their way to bring me in to their lives, and their families. They brought us gifts when they found out that we gave birth to our beautiful baby girl. They invited me to Superbowl parties (I’m coming next year!) and just to hang out. I know what they like to drink at Starbucks. Their wedding was the first time I ever got on the dance floor and got my Dougie on…it was super happy fun times!
The wedding was all about family, laughs, food, food, food, food, smiles, food and of course, crazy real moments. Most times, the best wedding images are the simple ones, the smiles, the tears, those little looks they give each other throughout the day that says “damn, I got lucky today!”.
Donna & Truong, you two are extremely lucky. You have each other, and there is no doubt how you two feel for each other. It is intense and passionate and real. You are two people that I can picture being friends with. You are my type of people. Love you guys! I love that Donna doesn’t stop smiling…you can’t possibly be in a bad mood around her. She just has to smile and you’re all good. Truong, if you were a ghost they’d call you Casper. Truly the friendliest dude you’ll ever meet. I love that he acts like he owes you the world…right after he’s done you a favor!

I stood in line for a massage. I got shot down.

Aww yeah..roast pork!!

Bartering for the bride has to be one of the most vicious and cruel things a brides friends and family can do to the groom. Luckily they went easy on Truong

Truong and Grandma. This image just kills me and puts a lump in my throat.

The gorgeous Vera Wang wedding dress!
