10 years ago, Damien and Yin were married and started a journey together that they would never forget.  In those 10 years, they’ve moved from the state of DC in the USA to our beautiful city of Calgary, Alberta.  They’ve slowly settled into their new surroundings making new friends and new memories in that journey and have become accustomed to our Western lifestyle.  I’m not really sure whats different but it kinda sounded like the neat thing to say because its now 11:30pm and I’m wanting to blog this amazing family. Therefore, I neglect sleep.  Therefore, my grammar is poor.  Therefore, lets get to the images we captured on the beautiful Wednesday evening at one of the best places to take photos of a family bonding together.

hey I think I’ve got some competition on my hands.  These next 3 photos were taken by the oldest daughter.  No joke.  I just held the camera.  The composition, focus, exposure was all her.

We cranked up the Katie Perry and Snoop Dogg and the girls went off dancing! So cute!

Here in Calgary, we have a local radio station called Vibe98.5 which plays  top 40 hit music.  The station is one of the biggest, if not the most popular in the area.

Currently they are holding a contest called Calgary’s Cutest Kid Contest.  Wuzzat gotta do with photography?  A few months ago I had the privilege of photographing the adorably handsome Lincoln.  Recently I just found out that Lincoln has made the top 20 cutest kids of Calgary!  How exciting is that!  This list was pared down from an initial entrant list of over 5000!!  So while I’m not trying to sway your vote, I’m gonna do my best to convince you to vote for Lincoln – he’s #8 on the list.  G’head, give’m a vote!  His parents and I would appreciate it.  And why wouldn’t you vote for him?  He’s ridiculously cute!  #8 – that’s the magic number.  Coincidentally, in the Chinese culture, the #8 is the luckiest number.  When spoken, it sounds like the word “luck”. So there you go, I’ve given you some cultural love, now go and give Linc some love! The pictures below were taken when he was only 2 weeks old.

Paula and Jeff, you didn’t have to wait until he’s 12!  Here’s the first photo in a series of a heckuva lot more.  Thank you for introducing us to the latest and greatest addition… man, is that kid every lucky to have you two as parents!  Here he is at 1 week old… He’s gonna be a heartbreaker when he grows up!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!  I’m closing up shop until December 27, 2009 to take time to enjoy the season of  love and warmth with my family.  I’m looking forward to hearing from all you newly engaged couples for 2010!  It’s going to be a great year!
